Tooltip: Create Your own Designs with DesignCap Quickly and Easily
In the days of Instagram, visual marketing is almost indispensable in the standard marketing repertoire. Image-oriented contributions receive much more attention than those with no or few pictures. It is all the more important to use attractive images in posts, as well as in posts for Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and of course, Instagram.
Many marketers use a whole range of different programs or websites to create an attractive image. Photoshop first processes photos, and then InDesign adjusts the layout. And suitable filter programs and apps are now in the meantime like the sand by the sea. But most of the time, these programs also cost money and, above all, a lot of time.
But, is one really depends on the services of outsiders? Is it necessary to engage a designer who will pack my content into a beautiful design? And do I also need a photographer who shoots suitable pictures?
We say at this point: no. At least not always. Granted, that’s easier said than done. Creating visual content is often time-consuming and requires a variety of tools. And there are many of them now. Then you ask yourself the next question: Which device is the right one for me? And what can something like that cost? This was also an issue at our sprint last week. The hoteliers and restaurateurs want some input and assistance here.
So this post would like to introduce you to DesignCap today. DesignCap is an easy-to-use online platform that allows everyone to create graphics with no effort. In particular, DesignCap focused on posters and flyers making before. And now, it has upgraded to a one-stop graphic editor with new features.
First to create DesignCap account
You can create your DesignCap account to access more features. But it is okay if we want to check the tool before registering.
Create your first design
DesignCap has a good collection of matching templates for much different content. The templates are classified. For example, you can choose from templates for posters and infographics, depending on the content strategy you are following. The templates are already prepared to the appropriate dimensions, such as menu, headers and title photos for pages such as Facebook or Twitter. You should consider which platforms you reach your target group best and bring your message optimally to the man/the woman. In this post, an Instagram post will take as an example to show you how does this tool work.
Click on “Get Started Now” to start your design!
You now have the option to create a blank canvas yourself or to use a template. This tutorial chooses a blank canvas for the design and colours it in traction purple.
By clicking on the tab “Text,” you can also choose between a template for a text field or an empty text frame. Write your text and select a suitable font, after which you have marked the text field with one click.
Working with elements and photos
First, you can enter a term in the search bar and choose a photo or an illustration. In the photo library, you will find many different pictures, from art animals. Once you’ve found the perfect image, simply click it into your canvas and place it to your liking. Definitely, you can also upload your own pictures, which you can then apply in your design.
It is possible to customize the template by deleting, replacing or repainting existing images and text. The templates provide an optimal starting point for the design. For most, it’s easier to start with a template than a blank sheet.
Add items
Design your design with a picture and add it to your logo or other suitable elements. Choose from the elements and images available in DesignCap or from your own material, which you can easily upload with the “Upload” function. By the way: changing a frame size is always done by dragging a corner point in one direction. If you drag a text box larger or smaller, it also affects the text size.
Publish your design
If you are satisfied with your design, you now have several options to publish it. To share and invite your friends to join your design, you can make it be public and edit. Also, you can just share it with the public.
Warp it up
What distinguishes DesignCap from other tools is that the design process is basically the same for all designs. Thanks to the ready-made templates, you can create many different designs with just a few clicks and without any design knowledge. So do not be afraid of visual content, just try it out. Then you will see what works. Look forward to seeing your creations!
