Sennheiser CX 180 as you all know is top rated headset on all the e-commerce sites that follow a product review system.
But what makes it so good. What is the very first thing that you see in any earphone when you get it?
It looks. The best part of Sennheiser CX 180 in-ear headphone is that it comes with the two-year warranty.
Mostly budget earphones come with 6 months or max 1-year warranty. But CX 180 stands above all of them.

CX 180 looks very lovely and compact. The earbud is tiny and perfectly fit to your ears.
It also comes with three ear caps for the different size. You can choose from small, medium and large depending on your ear comfort level.
Though the wires of this earphone are not tangled free. But on average usage, I didn’t face the cable tangle problem with it.
Also, no earphone company is providing tangle-free earphones below 1k. So it will not be good to expect tangle-free cable at this price point.
It comes with 3.5 mm L-shape audio jack which is gold plated.
Gold plated audio jacks are way better than regular budget earphones audio jacks. Gold plated audio jacks provide less distortion-free sound quality. These jacks work for a longer time.
A lot of people prefer L -shape audio jacks. Even I prefer them rather than straight audio jacks. L-shape audio jacks work longer for me, as there is less chance for wire stretch at the joint.

These earphones are thunderous. I used to listen to them at 50% volume usually.
In fact with a good earphone, you also need a good mobile to get the best music quality. When you put this headset in your ears, it will provide you with excellent isolation from the surrounding.
Then the bass-driven stereo speakers do the rest of the work to give an outstanding audio quality. It gives a perfect combination of treble and bass.
I usually don’t judge earphones by their specifications. Because a set of good hardware is ok, but to get the best output it should be properly configured. Sennheiser always does a lot of work with their earphones and headphones to give their best. Whether you are watching movies, listening to music or playing games CX 180 won’t disappoint you.

Drawbacks
There is only one drawback of this Sennheiser CX 180 which is the absence of mic.
If they could have provided an inbuilt mic then it could have been a killer earphone. Sennheiser could have added a mic, but then they will have to compromise with the quality of this earphone. So the absence of mic is acceptable to me.
Sennheiser also has an earphone which is Sennheiser CX 275 which has an inbuilt mic.
But for that, you have to spend double the money on this earphone cost. So it’s is up to you, How much you can spend?
Sennheiser CX 180 Vs Sennheiser CX 213
People often look for differences between Sennheiser CX 180 and Sennheiser CX 213. As both the earphones have the same on paper specifications but with a price difference. Then what makes them different from each other. which one is better?
Sennheiser CX 180 is an entry-level champ in the market and after it’s success Sennheiser launched CX 213. Sennheiser CX 213 comes in different color variants that lack in CX 180.
Beside color variants, there is no considerable change in audio quality. We still prefer you buy Sennheiser CX 180 and save some bucks.
